Here Are The Best Headphones To Pair With Blue Yeti

Sennheiser HD 650

Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphone

The Sennheiser HD 650 are audiophile class headset. And if you have a dedicated sound set-up. You will be able to bring out the full capabilities on the headphones. Plugging this into your smartphone will leave you disappointed. Because it won’t have enough juice to power it.

And if you use it with a laptop you need a headphone amp to bring out its full capabilities. The Sennheiser will expose both good and bad recordings. You will hear the nuances in songs and recordings.

On a side note, these are open-ear headphones that are not noise-cancelling and isolating.
The build quality and finish are top-notch. Made from both plastic and metal. This is not your average build quality. The headband and clamps are made from metal whiles the rest of the body is plastic.

Overall, these are sturdy and lightweight headphones. Also, the design is beautiful. It has that professional look and vibe to it. No fancy design or logo on it. Just a professional-looking headphone.

The comfort of the Sennheiser HD 650 is great. Not as good as the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. But, good enough to enjoy wearing them. Although, the headphones itself might be a tight fit. The earpads are breathable and at best you can wear them for quite a long period.

Unless you have a dedicated sound set-up or an amp. You won’t be able to bring out the full capabilities. They are still decent though. But, you will miss out on its full capabilities.

If you want to take things to another level with your recordings. Then this is the best headphones for not only Blue Yeti but work that requires a high level of audio reproduction.

In short, these headphones are high-quality headphones that require a good set-up to bring out its full capabilities.

Sennheiser HD 650 Review

Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II

Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Noise-Cancelling, with Alexa voice control, enabled with Bose AR – Black

There is a reason why these headphones are called Bose Quiet Comfort. And that is they have the best noise-cancelling and comfort a headphone can provide.

The noise cancellation on these works so well even in a noisy environment. It will be able to block out the noise resulting in everything becoming quiet.

Soft earpads that feel like clouds, not too tight, padded headband and lightweight. The comfort has been taken to another level. You can wear them for long periods without any discomfort. You are also able to replace the earpads if they get worn out.

This allows you to get more use out of it and still experience the comfort it provides. Moreover, the reason why it is light is because of the reinforced glass nylon build. There is also an audio cable included which allows you to plug into devices directly. You can also go the wireless route.

Battery life is superb. It can last for 20 hours. Plus, it charges relatively fast too. For such premium headphones, it would be a shame if they didn’t sound great. It has a clean sound and you can hear certain details.

However, where the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II fails is the microphone. The microphone tends to muffle your voice and so it is not suited for calls and voice recording.

Still, although the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II is an expensive headphone. It is almost unbeatable when it comes to noise-cancelling and comfort. And since you won’t be using the mic. There isn’t any problem. Overall, they are great headphones to hook up with Blue Yeti microphone.

Pros

Superb Noise Cancellation

Long Battery Life

Comfort Is On A Different Level

High-Quality Build

Cons

Audio Technica M50x

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones, Black, Professional Grade, Critically Acclaimed, With Detachable Cable

The Audio Technica M50x is highly recommended headphones for Blue Yeti. The sound quality of these headphones is great.

You could say it has entry-level audiophile sound quality. Using them will make you hear sounds that you didn’t know existed. Almost everything will sound great from music to videos. And also, these will expose bad sounds.

In short, if you prioritise sound over everything. Then these are the headphones to get.

Build quality is top-notch. Made from leather, metal and plastic. The headphone as a whole is robust. And it is easily foldable and has its bag. You can keep it in. Included in the package are 3 detachable cables. Most headphones come with one or two.

One more thing. The Audio Technica doesn’t make use of the standard 3.5mm which connects to it. But, rather a 2.5mm jack. This makes the cables only meant for it and its siblings.

Finally, these are comfortable. Large ear pads that are soft and apply an almost perfect amount of pressure. That doesn’t cause any irritation or discomfort. They are also lightweight and do bear down on your head when worn for long periods.

On a side note, the Audio Technica are not noise cancelling but are noise isolating. And therefore do not leak any sounds.

The Audio Technica M50x with its near audiophile sound quality is one of the best headphones to pair with Blue Yeti. All you need to do is plug it in and you are good to go. Only a few headphones can beat its comfiness. And it is also one of the best looking headphones out there.

Audio Technica M50x Review

Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro

The Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro is a headphone that requires an amp just like the Sennheiser. If you want to experience the best sound quality.

But, overall the sound quality on these is amazing even without the amp. The sound it reproduces is clear and beautiful. And the bass is prominent and the soundstage is pretty big. For the price, the headphones kill it when it comes to sound quality.

They are also open-back and let sound through. And finally, lack noise cancelling. These are pure studio headphones that prioritise sound quality and comfort above everything else.

Wearing these headphones are like wearing pillows on your ears. The large velour ear pads hug your ears softly and do not put any pressure on them. Super-great when you have a long recording session with your Blue Yeti. Unfortunately, there is no foam on the headband.

It also have great build quality – plastic and metal. And it is sturdy enough to take some punishment. But, that doesn’t mean you should throw them on the floor. Moreover, these are pretty lightweight enough to forget you are wearing them.

Overall, the Beyerdynamics DT 990 Pro is affordable mid-range studio headphones that pair well with Blue Yeti. Plus, they sound great and comfortable.

Pros

Great Sound Quality

Pillows On Your Ears

Durable & Lightweight

Cons

No Foam On Headband

HyperX Cloud Mix

HyperX Cloud Mix Wired Gaming Headset + Bluetooth - Game and Go - Detachable Microphone - Signature HyperX Comfort - Lightweight - Multi Platform Compatible - Black

The HyperX Cloud Mix are great headphones if you like to stream on PS4, PC and Xbox with Blue Yeti. This headphone comes with a detachable wire and mic.

It also has a Bluetooth option if you prefer to go the wireless route. And it is easy to set-up. This gives you the best of both worlds – wired & wireless. And the battery life on these is amazing. Long enough to last the whole day.

Although, the headphones are a bit tight. When it comes to comfort these are decent overall. The earpads are soft. Moreover, these are lightweight and durable headphones. Thanks to its aluminium frame. Unfortunately, it is not foldable and so unsuitable for travel or movement.

The sound quality is better than most gaming headsets in its price range. These are clear, pleasant and have great bass. However, using it when wired will cause almost no distortion when in use. Especially, on max volume. And you can use this to listen to music, movies, etc. Aside from the occasional use with Blue Yeti.

To be honest, the HyperX Cloud Mix is far from perfect. But, it gets a lot of things right. And the biggest ones are its great sound quality and connection (wired & wireless). In short, this makes it one of the best gaming headphones for Blue Yeti and streaming.

Pros

Lightweight, Comfortable And Durable

Great Battery Life

Great Sound

Cons

COWIN E7

COWIN E7 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone Deep Bass Wireless Headphones Over Ear, Comfortable Protein Earpads, 30 Hours Playtime for Travel/Work, Black

If you are looking for the best budget headphones to use with Blue Yeti. Then the COWIN E7 is the one. An affordable headphone that gets a few things right. Over-ear headphones that are comfortable and durable. The durability is due to its metallic frame and it is easily foldable.

The battery life is also one of the best. These can last more than a day of continuous use. And the best part? The batteries are replaceable. This allows you to get more time and use out of it.

Now, when it comes to sound quality. These are decent at best. They are not audiophile worthy. But, are okay enough for everyday use. If you want great sound quality then skip this. And look at the other options provided.

You can use the headphones in both wired & wireless mode. A great feature to have especially with Blue Yeti. All you need to do is plug it into the mic. And you are good to go.

Now for the things the headphones don’t get right. Because of the metallic frame, it is an absolute fingerprint magnet. So you need to regularly clean it to keep it shiny.

Moreover, since they budget headphones the noise cancellation is not great. It can cancel it to an extent. It also leaks sound to the environment.

Finally, the volume controls have been inverted. To increase the volume you have to press the bottom button and vice versa to decrease the volume. This isn’t so much of a problem since you will get used to it quickly.

Overall, COWIN E7 are affordable headphones that are quite great. One of the best to use with Blue Yeti. If you are on a budget.

Pros

Comfy, Durable & Folds Easily

Great Battery Life And Replaceable

Decent Sound Quality & Great Packaging

Cons

No Noise Isolation & Sub-par Noise Cancellation
