The Crenova HD is the best projector under 200. A great projector that has unbeatable value. It gets 99 percent you would want in a projector right.

The best projector under 200. The Crenova HD has almost everything you want in a projector and more. It is a bright projector because at 5800 lumens.

It is more than enough to be used during the day and well-lit rooms and environment. This makes it a solid option for presentations and watching movies during the day. The high brightness also means you can use it for outdoor movies.

Moreover, it is one of the few budget projectors to have a native 1080p resolution. Coupled with the brightness, images are going to be clear, sharp and crisp. The colour accuracy is also good.

Overall, the Crenova HD is the best value projector under 200. If you are on a tight budget this is the projector to get.

The only downside is the tiny fan noise the Crenova HD projector makes. Increasing the volume on the speakers is enough to cover the noise.

The Crenova HD delivers outstanding value out of all the budget projectors under 200. The best option to consider if you want above-average entertainment.

Pros

  • Sharp
  • Bright
  • Decent image quality
  • Affordable
  • Long lamp life
  • Easy to set-up

Cons

  • No optical zoom
  • Poor focusing mechanism
  • Edges of images get distorted when keystone feature is used
  • Brightness not as advertised

Projection system: LED | Resolutions: 1920 x 1080 | Brightness: 6,800 lumens | Video Lamp Life: N/FDimensions: N/F

The CiBest Native is a bang for buck projector that will get the job done.

An affordable Native 1080p resolution. The CiBest Native has a lot going on for such a budget projector. The design is beautiful and looks modern.

The projector makes use of a LED lamp to project images. The lamp life of LED lamps is long. In this case, 50000 approx. 6 years this makes it a great projector to consider if you want something long term.

The projector is also bright enough to be used during the day and in well-lit environments. This makes it a decent option when looking for an affordable projector for classrooms, presentations, bright rooms, etc.

Moreover, the picture quality is decent enough to be used for home entertainment. You can use it to watch movies, sports or gaming. The CiBest Native is also easy to set-up. It also has plenty of ports making it easy to hook it up to a lot of compatible devices.

The CiBest Native doesn’t have optical zoom. This requires you to physically move the projector to get the right image distance. And the focusing mechanism doesn’t do a great job. If the centre is in focus the edges become blurry.

The edges of the images get blurry when the keystone adjustment is used. However, the effect is noticeable when projecting static pictures not watching videos.

Finally, the brightness is falsely advertised. The 6000 lux is more like 3000 – 4000. Still, it is bright enough to be used outdoors.

The CiBest Native has quite some downsides. But that is to be expected since it a cheap projector under 200. Most of its downsides have to with positioning the projector.

For a cheap projector though it certainly does what it supposed to do. This makes it a solid option if you are on a budget.

Pros

  • Bright
  • Decent picture quality
  • Long lamp life
  • Well-built
  • Plenty of ports

Cons

  • Inadequate instructions
  • Bad audio
  • Can’t be mounted overhead
  • Short-range remote

Projection system: LED | Resolutions: 1280 x 800 | Brightness: 6,000 lumens | Video Lamp Life: Up To 50000Dimensions: N/F

The GuDee Upgrade is an all-round projector that can be used for almost anything.

Presentations, home theatre, gaming, etc. you can use the GuDee Upgrade for all these purposes. This makes it a very affordable projector. Since it provides at least decent performance in all the areas needed for those tasks.

The picture quality is decent enough to be used for home theatre and outdoor movie watching. And the brightness is high enough to be used during the day and well-lit environments which makes it great for presentations.

However, keep in mind that the picture quality can’t be compared to more expensive home theatre projectors.

The projector itself is well-built for a cost-effective device. Furthermore, because it is an LED lamp projector. It has a lamp life of about 50000 hours. That’s close to 6 years if you never turn off the projector.

The GuDee Upgrade also has plenty of ports. This allows you to connect it to practically almost anything. Laptops, consoles, USB drives, etc.

The instructions are basic and lack substantial information on how to properly operate the projector. You will have to resort to try and error to find out the settings and other functions.

The in-built speaker also sucks. External speakers are recommended. The GuDee Upgrade also can’t be mounted overhead. Finally, the remote has a short-range and so you have to be close to the projector.

Overall, the GuDee Upgrade is one of the best 1080p projectors under 200. A solid projector that gets a lot of things right.

Pros

  • Fairly quiet
  • Good sound quality
  • A good level of brightness
  • Decent price point
  • Good colours

Cons

  • No zoom control
  • Keystone correction introduces a lot of blurs
  • Not full HD

Projection system: LED | Resolutions: 1280 x 768 | Brightness: 4,000 lumens | Video Lamp Life: Up To 30000Dimensions: N/F

The GooDee Upgrade is a cheap projector that has a great build quality making it a solid choice for outdoor movies.

Most projectors have loud fans. But, the GooDee Upgrade is fairly quiet. The fans noise is not distracting and unnoticeable sometimes. This allows you to enjoy your movies and make presentations without fan distractions.

The projector itself is quite bright. A 4500-lumen projector, you can use this during the day. But, the recommended time to use it is during the night.

Especially when you have an outdoor movie planned. Because the colour accuracy is good. Although it’s slightly oversaturated it provides a better viewing experience than most budget projectors. Furthermore, most projectors lack decent speakers.

But, the GooDee Upgrade speakers are good for a projector. You can use it to watch movies if an external speaker isn’t in your budget. To sum it all up, the GooDee Upgrade is a bang for buck cheap projector.

The GooDee Upgrade doesn’t have any zoom control. So you have to physically move the projector if you want the perfect image distance.

Also, the keystone correction isn’t that great. No matter how you tune it the edges of the images are always blurry. It is not able to maintain focus across the entire image. It is more noticeable in static images than moving images or movies.

The GooDee Upgrade is not a native full HD projector. But rather a 768p projector. However, it accepts 1080p signals.

Overall, the GooDee Upgrade is one of the best outdoor projectors under 200. It is bright, fairly quiet and surprisingly has good sound quality. The colours are also good to enjoy movies.

Pros

  • Portable
  • Versatile
  • Works immediately out of the box
  • Decent battery life
  • Good speakers

Cons

  • Not the brightest
  • Not full HD resolution
  • No wireless capabilities

Projection system: DLP | Resolutions: 854 x 480 | Brightness: 50 – 100 lumens | Video Lamp Life: Up To 45000Dimensions: 9.8 x 9.8 x 2.20 cm

The APEMAN Mini is one of the best pico projectors under 200. A solid choice if you require a portable projector that works well.

The biggest benefit is how portable the APEMAN mini projector is. It weighs 1.2 lbs and it’s compact enough to put in your bag. Or pockets if they are big enough.

This adds another level of versatility to it. Because you can use the projector everywhere and anywhere. The included tripod stand further increases this versatility. Because now you can set-up backyard movies.

The pico projector works right out of the box. And doesn’t require a lot of work setting it up. A plug and play projector you could say. The battery life is decent too being able to last 2 hours. Enough power for a movie or a conference room presentation.

The speakers are quite good for a portable projector. Loud and clear enough.

Overall, the APEMAN mini is a great portable projector under 200. If you travel or commute often but dread the heavyweight of projectors. Then this will suffice.

Because the APEMAN mini is a portable projector it won’t be as good as non-portable projectors. The brightness level is low at about 50 to 100 lumens. And so it is suitable for only dark rooms or uses during the night.

The resolution is also low. A WVGA (854 x 480) resolution which is unsuitable for providing the best home theatre experience. The pico projector doesn’t have wireless capabilities. That includes not having Bluetooth connection.

The APEMAN Mini excels at what it was made for – portability. A solid portable projector under 200 that you can easily carry anywhere with you.

Overall, it’s good enough for small conference rooms and casual home entertainment.

Pros

  • Good battery life
  • Ultraportable & lightweight
  • Good sound quality
  • Beautiful design

Cons

  • Projections great than 60″ lose their focus
  • Not full HD
  • Not the brightest
  • All controls are on the remote
  • No audio output option

Projection system: DLP | Resolutions: 854 x 480 | Brightness: 300 lumens | Video Lamp Life: Up To 45000Dimensions: 14.7 x 4.1 x 12.7 cm

The ViewSonic M1 is a mini projector under 200 that has a beautiful modernized design.

The Viewsonic M1 is a beautiful looking mini projector. A projector that has a modern look to it. The Viewsonic M1 is an ultraportable projector. This will fit in your pocket, laptop bag and backpack.

This is possible because of its 4×4 inches dimension and weighs less than 1 lbs. Aside from being ultraportable, it also makes it very lightweight. Moreover, battery life is good. It can last 2.5 – 3 hours.

When it comes to picture quality, the Viewsonic M1 produces decent and sharp projections. It does this by accepting 1080p signals and converting it to the native resolution (480p).

So for casual home entertainment and small presentations. The picture quality is good enough. But the biggest pro is are the speakers. The projector has JBL speakers and is quite good to be used in a small room.

Because the Viewsonic M1 is a mini projector any projected image great than 60 inches across tends to lose focus. For the best, looking projections keep it at 60 inches or lower.

Also, at 150 lumens the projector is not bright. The room has to sufficiently dark to easily see the projections or you have to use it during the night. It is also not full HD and so not recommended for having the best home entertainment experience.

Furthermore, all the controls are found on the remote instead of on the projector itself. If you misplace the remote. You won’t be able to use the Viewsonic M1. Finally, the projector has no audio out options.

Mini projectors have far features than normal projectors. However, they excel at portability and ease of use. Hence the reason why mini projectors are popular.

Overall, the Viewsonic M1 is a great value mini projector. One of the best to consider if your budget is below 200.

Final Thoughts

Projectors take entertainment and business presentations to a whole other level. However, most of them are expensive. But, with this list even if you have a budget of 200 or less.

You can still enjoy the benefits projectors have to offer. That’s it for the best projectors under 200.
