VAVA 4K

VAVA 4K UHD Laser TV Home Theatre Projector | Bright 2500 Lumens | Ultra Short Throw | HDR10 | Built-in Harman Kardon Sound Bar | ALPD 3.0 | Smart Android System

Pros

✔️ Ultra short throw, beautiful 4K images, solid build quality, good soundbar and beautiful design

Cons

❌ Clunky & few apps, heavy and pricey

The VAVA 4K is an ultra-short-throw projector with excellent image quality that makes you feel as if you are right there during the event.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

Because your VAVA 4K projector can project a 100-inch image when placed 7.2 inches away from the bedroom wall or screen. And if that is not an ultra-short projector. Then what exactly is it?

This makes it a superb option if you have a small bedroom. Furthermore, the 4K projections will blow you away. Sports, movies, gaming, etc. look absolutely gorgeous and vibrant. The VAVA 4K accepts 4K HDR signals which result in a better viewing experience.

The projector is well-made and has a solid feel to it. It is also beautiful and somehow reminds you of Apple and LG. And the soundbar is good. Decent enough to be used as your default speaker.

At 2500 lumens, you can use this during the day albeit with your blinds partially closed. In the night, it is more than enough. In short, the VAVA 4K is a smart projector that provides one of the best projectors for sports viewing and more.

VAVA 4K Review

Cons you should look out for

Smart projectors are behind smart TVs when it comes to apps. The VAVA 4K doesn’t have a lot of apps and the ones that it has are clunky. You need Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, etc. if you want to stream on this awesome projector.

Secondly, the projector is heavy. It weighs almost 24 lbs. This is to be expected given how well-built it is. And finally, it is pricey. However, compared to other 4K projectors it’s on the affordable side. Still, it is expensive.

The Bottom Line

Overall, if you are looking for the best 4K projector for sports. Then this is it. The VAVA 4K is a great 4K projector that delivers a lot of value. Your sports viewing just got so much better with this.

BenQ TK800M

BenQ TK800M 4K UHD Home Theater Projector with HDR and HLG | 3000 Lumens for Ambient Lighting | 96% Rec. 709 for Accurate Colors | Keystone for Easy Setup | Stream Netflix and Prime Video

Pros

✔️ Amazing picture quality, bright, easy to set-up and use and 3-year warranty

Cons

❌ Loud cooling fan, doesn’t auto-detect 3D & not true native 4K resolution

Watch your sports in 4K with the BenQ TK800M.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

Because this is easily one of the best 4K value projectors you can get. An affordable 4K projector that has a solid set of benefits such as high colour accuracy and being able to produce razor-sharp image qualities. This ensures that you enjoy a superb sports viewing experience.

A high-performance projector that will give you the most bang for your buck. The BenQ TK800 is also a bright projector. The brightness level is 3000 lumens which are higher than most 4K projectors on the market.

You will be able to watch movies in daylight, albeit with some bling adjustments. The projector comes with a 3-year warranty. So you can rest assured that you will be able to use it for a long time.

The audio quality is surprisingly good. However, if you want an immersive experience it’s best to get great speakers.

BenQ TK800M Review

Cons you should look out for

The BenQ TK800 is a high-performance projector that does an excellent job of bringing you the best theatre experience. But with a few downsides.

This is has a loud fan. The fans have to work extra hard to properly cool it. BenQ could have made it bigger with more cooling vents. But, that would have made it heavy and bulky.

The projector is not a native 4K resolution projector. It supports 4K but the DLP chip doesn’t. It is a 1920 x 1080 chip that flashes the images four times in superfast succession to create a 4K image.

Although it’s not true 4K. Images appear as 4K because the optical system has been designed for creating 4K resolution entertainment.

Lastly, the projector is not able to automatically detect 3D content. You have to manually turn on the feature.

The Bottom Line

Although the BenQ is not a native 4K projector. The technology is so good that images come out as 4K.

Images produced are sharp, crisp and have high colour accuracy. It’s so good you wouldn’t believe it’s not a native 4K projector. For this reason, this is one of the best affordable 4K projectors for sports.

Epson Home Cinema 2150

Epson Home Cinema 2150 Wireless 1080p Miracast, 3LCD projector

Pros

✔️ Outstanding picture quality, easy to set-up & use and quiet

Cons

❌ Large and un-intuitive picture auto-adjustment

The Epson Home Cinema 2150 is undoubtedly a home cinema projector. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of its awesome picture quality to watch sports.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

In watching sports picture quality is important. And the Epson Cinema 2150 excels in this. Colour accuracy is excellent and has the right amount of saturation. That means your favourite teams are going to look fantastic.

At 2150 lumens, you can watch sports during the day. However, you need the blinds partially closed. Outdoor sports viewing during the day will be impossible. But at night it will blow your expectations away.

The Epson 2150 is easy to set-up. You can either mount it or place it on a flat table. Whichever way will give you the best possible sports viewing experience. It is also one of the few projectors to have vertical and horizontal keystone adjustments. Although it’s not automatic.

The projector works quietly too. No loud fan noises to keep you distracted from the game. And the in-built speakers are good enough. But for the best sports viewing experience, external speakers are recommended.

Epson 2150 Review

Cons you should look out for

The Epson Home Cinema 2150 is a large projector. Fortunately, it isn’t heavy so you can easily move it around. Secondly, picture adjustment requires some manual input from you. Since the auto-adjustment doesn’t work like how it should.

The Bottom Line

Overall, the Epson Cinema 2150 delivers excellent picture quality. And that’s what matters the most. This makes it one of the best projectors for sports and movies.

BenQ HT2150ST

BenQ HT2150ST 1080P Short Throw Projector | 2200 Lumens | 96% Rec.709 for Accurate Colors | Low Input Lag Ideal for Gaming | 2D Keystone for Flexible Setup

Pros

✔️ Short throw, great for gaming and vivid image quality

Cons

❌ No horizontal keystone adjustment and not the longest lamp life

Live sports, sports games, streaming sports, fast sports, etc. The BenQ HT2150ST will take care of your sports entertainment fantastically.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

The BenQ HT2150ST comes well-packaged making you feel it was meant for you. A short-throw projector that makes it an excellent choice for everything sports, movies and games.

The projector delivers outstanding image quality. The images are vivid thanks to its above-average colour accuracy and saturation. Black levels are great and the rainbow effect is non-existent.

There is also a colour correction option that adjusts the colour if you project on a non-white bedroom wall. These benefits translate over to gaming. Games look great and the low input lag makes the experience a smooth one. Response time of 16ms makes ghosting and screen tearing almost non-existent.

At 2200 lumens, the Ben HT2150ST is somewhat bright. You can use it in the day but your room has to be sufficiently dark though. Nighttime is a whole other experience. Coupled with its vivid image quality you wouldn’t want to step out when watching a sports game.

BenQ HT2150ST Review

Cons you should look out for

Keystone adjustments make it super easy to align your images so that it looks perfect. Unfortunately, the BenQ HT2150ST doesn’t have a horizontal keystone adjustment.

It does support vertical keystone adjustment but adjusting it horizontally is going to take you quite some time.

The lamp life is also quite short and lasts up to 3500 hours. That’s about 146 days if you never turn off the projector. SuperEco mode pushes it up to 7000 hours. But at the cost of lower brightness.

The Bottom Line

The BenQ HT2150ST is a great value projector. A superb projector that can be used for watching sports, movies and playing games. In short, this is one of the best projectors for watching sports and movies.

Artlii HD Projector

HD Projector - Artlii 2020 Upgraded 5500 LUX Movie Projector, 200' HD Home Theater Projector, 1080P Support Video Projector with 2 USB HiFi Stereo for Remote Learning, Movies, Sports and Video Games

Pros

✔️ Bright, affordable, good image quality, plenty of speaker volume and long lamp life

Cons

❌ Minimal screen size settings and not the best keystone

Being on a budget limits your options when it comes to choosing a projector. Fortunately, the Artlii HD Projector is a solid device for watching sports, movies and more.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

Because this is an affordable projector that checks almost all the boxes. With this projector, you don’t have to compromise a lot. At 4000 lumens, the Artii HD projector is bright enough to be used in the day or well-lit environment.

This allows you to enjoy sports at any time and without closing the blinds. Also, the picture quality is good for a budget projector. Keep in mind that it’s nowhere near that higher-priced projectors.

But, it is still decent enough for sports viewing and casual home entertainment. In addition to that, it has plenty and speaker volume. Loud enough not to consider getting external speakers.

The projector is lightweight (5.5 lbs) making it easily portable. You can easily carry it outdoors or to a different room.

Finally, it has a long lamp life of about 45000 hours. If you never turn off the projector it will last about 5 years. A solid option if you want a projector for long term use.

Cons you should look out for

The settings for adjusting the screen size are few. To be honest, there are only two settings – keystone adjustment and focus. You can’t zoom in or adjust the throw of the screen size.

You are only limited to these two settings. The keystone adjustment is not automatic and requires a bit of manual tweaking. Without the proper adjustment, images become fuzzy at the corner of the screen.

The Bottom Line

The Artii HD projector does have its downsides. But which projector doesn’t? Overall, this is a solid value projector especially if you are on a budget. This makes it the best budget projector for sports.
