An absolute Powerhouse. This laptop has high-end specs to play World of Warcraft (WOW) on a competitive level.

An Intel Core 8th Gen i7 Processor and a RTX 2060 graphics card. These two things you need to run WOW on the highest setting.

You won’t experience any lag in cities, raids or where a large number of people gather.

The display is also has a high refresh rate to prevent screen stuttering and tearing. This laptop will basically dominate not only WOW (Legion, Battle of Azeroth, or any other new releases) and other games.

When it comes to battery life. You are looking at 6-7 hours under consistent use. Impressive for a gaming laptop.

The only downside is that it runs hot when it comes under heavy usage and the laptop has an average build quality and quite flimsy.

The MSI GS65 Stealth is one of the best gaming laptops to get if you want a massive competitive edge not only against players but better graphics in the game allowing to see more detail.

MSI GP73 Leopard

MSI GP73 Leopard-209 17.3' Thin and Light Gaming Laptop GTX 1070 8G i7-8750H (6 Cores) 16GB 256GB SSD + 1TB Windows 10, VR Ready, Windows 10 64 bit

Another Powerhouse that deserves to be called one of the best laptops for not only World of Warcraft but for other games.

An 8th Gen Intel Core i7 six-core processor, 16GB RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1070.

The difference between this and the MSI GS65 Stealth is the fact that the graphics card is not a GTX 1070 Max-Q card but the actual thing. Expect a better performance from this laptop than the MSI GS65.

Only get this if you are looking for a futureproof laptop to play not only WOW but other AAA titles as well because you won’t be disappointed.

The only downside is, it’s almost 6 pounds of weight so you can’t take this anywhere with you. A heavy BEAST housing very powerful hardware.

A pure gaming laptop made and customized to dominate not only World of Warcraft but other AAA titles.

Lenovo Legion Vs World of Warcraft Legion. Who do you think will win? Definitely the Lenovo Legion and not only against WOW: Legion but also against Battle of Azeroth and quite a number of future expansions.

The Lenovo Legion has a different design than its previous predecessors which had a tint of red. Lenovo decided to go with the grey and black colour for its design.

The Lenovo Legion is equipped with an i7-8750H processor and a GTX 1060 graphics card. The specs are more than good enough to play WOW on high settings.

The battery life is also decent averaging about 6 hours under normal usage and its weight is standard about 5.2 pounds.

It is neither light nor heavy so moving it around won’t be a problem. The display rate is 60 Hz which is common in a lot of laptops.

The Lenovo Legion has what it takes to play WOW on high settings and also close to competitor level thanks to its hexa-core processor and GTX 1060. Overall, it is a decent gaming laptop for some casual gameplay.

The Eluktronics Mech 15 is a BEAUTY and a BEAST. Eluktronics is not as popular as big name brands but they make really decent laptops which are price-competitive. It is a gaming powerhouse.

Apart from it has the specs to run WOW it is also great enough to run other games. The graphics card is a dedicated GTX 1660 Ti with an Intel Core 9th Gen i7-9750H. This laptop will definitely run World of Warcraft without any problems.

The laptop is also light and portable which is not usually possible unless it comes with Max-Q graphics at the cost of performance. The keyboard is also an RGB allowing you to customize it to your taste.

The laptop also comes with little bloatware as opposed to other brands. Less bloatware is always a good thing because you get a smoother performance on Windows.

Now for the cons, the fans are loud even if you play games on minimum settings and the battery life is poor lasting 2-3 hours under casual usage.

If you do not mind the loud fans and poor battery life and are only in for the performance (the sturdy build and portability included) then the Eluktronics Mech 15 is definitely a solid laptop.

The HP Pavilion Gaming is a great option if you are not able to afford the more expensive gaming laptops or are on a budget.

A cheap gaming laptop that has enough power to run WOW well without any problems. The specs are an 8th Gen i5-8300H and GTX 1050 Ti.

Another thing about the HP Pavilion Gaming is that it has a very simple design. It doesn’t have those colourful tints to it just simple black design.

It is also lightweight almost 5 pounds making it easy to carry around. Battery life is average. You will get about 4-5 hours under normal usage.

The HP Pavilion Gaming will be able to get you high fps on medium to high settings. This laptop won’t be able to get you the best gameplay or the highest fps but it will definitely get the job done.

A budget-friendly laptop from Asus. This laptop has the cliché design of gaming laptops. Big, bad and red running through it.

The Asus TUF is equipped with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8300H processor and GTX 1060.

Performance from the laptop won’t be stellar but it will be more than enough to run World of Warcraft (WOW) on medium or high settings.

The laptop is also quite thick and heavy. You can move it around but it won’t be comfortable. Battery life is also average about 4-5 hours under normal usage.

The display is also not the best. A twisted nematic (TN) display. TN displays are great for gaming.

But apart from that they have poor viewing angles, colour reproduction and sharpness compared in In-plane switching (IPS) displays.

ASUS cut a lot of corners to make this laptop available for its budget price which is understandable. The only redeeming quality is the performance which is great to perform what it was made for – gaming.

Acer Aspire 7 A717-72G-700J 17.3' IPS FHD GTX 1060 6GB VRAM i7-8750H 16 GB Memory 256 GB SSD Windows 10 VR Ready Gaming

The Acer Aspire 7 is a laptop capable of playing WOW close to max settings with no lags. It also doesn’t have the usual gaming laptop design.

And it looks like a perfectly normal laptop. The performance is superb – an 8th Gen i7 and GTX 1060.

The display is above average. Very decent with great viewing angles, colour reproduction, sharp and bright.

The laptop also doesn’t run hot because its cooling system has been designed well so thermal throttling is out of the equation for this laptop.

The battery life of the laptop is average at best lasting only 5-6 hours under normal usage. The build quality also feels cheap because of the plastic but it won’t be a problem because of how rigid the laptop is.

The Acer Aspire 7 is a laptop with gaming hardware that will be able to play WOW and other AAA games on high settings. A great choice if you are a student or someone who doesn’t like something flashy.

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6' Full HD, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U, GeForce MX150, 8GB RAM Memory, 256GB SSD, E5-576G-5762

The Acer Aspire E15 is a great laptop if you are looking for a gaming laptop under $600 to play WOW.

You might not be able to play on the highest settings but it will definitely get the job done. You will be able to get decent frame rates thanks to its 8th Gen Core i5 and MX150.

Apart from that, it is also a great option if you are a student. Enough power to play most games on low to medium settings, battery life averaging about 8 hours and a decent IPS display.

It is also quite light. It surprisingly has a Solid State Drive which even some gaming laptops do not have.

It is a great all-round laptop. Just keep in mind that you won’t get stellar performance compared to other more powerful and expensive laptops out there but if you reduce the graphics settings it will definitely do its job well.

HP High Performance

2018 HP Flagship High Performance 15.6 inch HD Laptop PC, Intel 8th Gen Core i5-8250U Quad-Core, 12GB DDR4, 2TB HDD, DVD, WIFI, Bluetooth, Windows 10, Jet Black

It seems that the more budget-friendly a laptop gets the more compromises that will be made and the HP High Performance is not an exception.

The only redeeming factor is its solid performance. An under $600 laptop if you are really on a tight budget.

The HP High Performance has an 8th Gen Intel Core i5, 12 GB of ram and an integrated graphics.

Those specs will definitely not give you stellar performance. You will have to reduce your settings to get smooth gameplay and even more so if you are in cities or doing raids.

It is a good thing it has a lot of RAM because the video memory of Intel graphics card is dependent on the amount of RAM you have. The more you have better the Intel graphics card will do.

Swapping the hard disk drive for a solid state drive will help improve the performance of the laptop.

Overall, the HP High Performance is a cheap laptop under $600 that has enough power to run WOW but not on the best of settings.

ASUS VivoBook S Ultra

Asus Vivobook S Ultra Thin Laptop, i5-8250U CPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, GeForce MX150 15.6' FHD S510UN-MS52

The Asus Vivobook is a thin laptop that comes with an MX150 graphics card. It is also very lightweight weighing about 3.75 pounds making it easy to carry around.

The performance is similar to the Acer Aspire E15 since they both have an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 and an MX150. It will be able to handle games like WOW but don’t expect stellar performance if you try to play on the highest settings.

Battery life is not a strong suit of the laptop lasting about 4-5 hours under normal usage. You might get more if you use power saving settings.

The Asus VivoBook is much more appealing to college students because of its lightweight form factor making it easy to carry to class.

The performance is definitely not stellar but you will get decent frame rates making WOW gameplay smooth if you adjust the settings or optimize it well.

ASUS VivoBook S Ultra Review

How To Find The Best Laptop To Play World Of Warcraft (WOW)

Here are three important things to consider in getting a laptop to play WOW.

Processor

WOW is a CPU-intensive game and so you need quite a powerful CPU to handle tasks very quickly. Going to places with a lot of players especially in cities or having a lot of players on raids is going to very demanding for the CPU. So if your CPU is not up to tasks you will experience a drop in frame rates when you are in those situations.

Graphics Card

A dedicated graphics card is always going to win against an integrated graphics card. Even though WOW is a CPU-intensive game there will always be cases where you need extra power or help from the GPU and the more powerful the GPU better the performance the high the settings you can play WOW on.

Ultra settings on WOW is always better than low settings on any day. You will get a much better gaming experience if you have a powerful CPU and a GPU and you won’t need to worry about meeting the requirements of future expansions.

Budget

It is always your budget that can allow you or prevent you from getting the best laptop to play WOW. Knowing how much you are willing to spend is another way of telling you how much you are willing to compromise on a laptop.

Conclusion

That’s it for our recommended list of laptops for World Of Warcraft (WOW). If you need any help feel free to comment.
