JVC 4K Projector

JVC DLA-NX5 4K D-ILA Projector

Pros

✔️ True 4K & HDR, gorgeous image quality and quiet

Cons

❌ Pricey and requires a solid mount

The JVC 4K Projector is a true 4K projector that will bring tears to your eyes when you see its amazing picture quality.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

JVC projectors are the recommended projectors when it comes to home cinema. And this JVC 4K projector is a no-nonsense projector. A true 4K projector that delivers gorgeous picture quality that rivals cinemas themselves.

This projector is for those who have a dedicated room for having theatres in their homes. The black levels are excellent and the contrast is very high. The JVC projector also works silently. No distracting fan noise to disturb you.

Cons you should look out for

This is an expensive projector. This is to be expected. Because true 4K projectors are more expensive than faux 4K projectors that use pixel-shifting technology to produce 4K images.

The Bottom Line

The JVC 4K projector is a high resolution 4K projector that will make you experience the closest thing to a cinema. Although it is expensive it is worth it.

Cons you should look out for

Pros

✔️ Quiet, solid build quality, 4K goodness and long lamp life

Cons

❌ Not suitable for gaming, not true 4K and bulky

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

A solid choice if you want to step up your home entertainment. The Epson Home Cinema 4010 has superb image quality. The images produced are of stunning 4K quality. That will bring tears to your eyes.

High contrast ratio, colour accuracy and vibrancy that makes everything look so good. Your movies will great that you might think you are in a cinema. The projector remote also allows you to change focus, zoom and shift the power lens.

In addition to that, it supports 3D content handling. However, 3D glasses are needed to fully enjoy the experience. The Epson Home Cinema is also well-built. For those who can’t sit through loud fan noises.

You will be pleased to know this projector works quietly. The fan noise is barely audible even if you sit close to it.

Cons you should look out for

The Epson Home Cinema is not a “true” 4K projector. But, a 1080p projector that produces 4K images by using pixel-shifting technology.

The result? 4K images that are almost impossible to distinguish between true 4K images. The technology works so well. You might think it is a true 4K projector.

Also, the projector is not suited for gaming because the input lag is high and the 4K is at 30FPS. Instead of 60FPS.

Lastly, the reason why the projector works quietly is because of the size. This is not a small projector. But, a large projector. Still, a quiet projector is always better than a noisy one.

The Bottom Line

This is one of the best Epson projectors when it comes to home theatre. Although it is not a native 4K projector. Because of the pixel-shifting technology.

Viewsonic Projector

ViewSonic 1080p Projector with 3500 Lumens DLP 3D Dual HDMI and Low Input Lag for Home Theater and Gaming (PX700HD)

Pros

✔️ Affordable, bright, above-average image quality, a good speaker and good for gaming

Cons

❌ Runs hot, on & off buttons are switched on the remote and no freeze screen function

Viewsonic Projector has made a name for themselves when it comes to affordable projectors that get the job done.

Should you buy it? Yes. Why?

Not only is the Viewsonic a 1080p high definition projector. It is also budget-friendly. Viewsonic checks almost all the boxes with this one.

The image quality is better than most 1080p projectors you find on the market. Crisp and sharp image quality that creates clear pictures. The colour accuracy is also above average resulting in some good picture quality. However, the contrast ratio isn’t that great and blacks are more like grey.

For gamers, this is a great projector to take your gaming to the big screen. It has a fast refresh rate and low input lag. No ghosting and screen tearing when you play games.

Furthermore, the in-built speaker is good. Loud and clear without distortion and rattling. You can use this to watch movies.

At 3500 lumens, it is bright enough to be used in classrooms, presentations or business meetings. And also bright enough for daylight entertainment during the day.

Cons you should look out for

The Viewsonic runs hot. Eco mode will make it run cooler but at the cost of lower brightness. But, the lamp life is also increased when the mode is activated.

The Viewsonic also doesn’t have a freeze screen function. If you are a teacher, not having this function can be a deal-breaker.

Finally, this is something Viewsonic shouldn’t have done. The remote has the on and off button colours swapped. All other remotes have their on and off buttons green and red respectively. The Viewsonic has this the other way round.

The Bottom Line

Fortunately, the remote is the only annoying thing about the Viewsonic projector. For an affordable 1080p projector. It does check almost all the boxes you would want in a projector. Highly recommended if you need a budget-friendly high-resolution projector.

The image quality is decent at best. Neither bad nor great. Just good enough to enjoy movies.

Lastly, the projector is easy to use and quite easy to set-up. Battery life is also decent for being able to last 3 hours.

Cons you should look out for

As with most devices. There are bound to be some cons. And with the Anker Nebula Mars II though it is a fantastic device. It has quite a few.

First is the picture adjustment, you can’t change the contrast, warmth, etc. You are stuck with whatever settings the projector comes with.

Secondly, at 500 ANSI lumens. The projector is only suitable for dark rooms or the environment. Using this during the day will leave you disappointed.

Thirdly, even though it is a smart projector there is a lack of built-in apps. You have Netflix, Amazon and YouTube though.

Lastly, because of the form-factor, it’s not compatible with most universal stands. However, Anker has their own stand you can use with your projector.

The Bottom Line

The Anker Nebula Mars II is a high-resolution portable projector that excels home entertainment and backyard movies. A solid projector to get if you want to carry entertainment where you go.

High-resolution projectors make everything seem so much better. The Viewsonic projector is a great 1080p projector if you are on a budget. Whiles the JVC 4K projector is the best if you have the budget.

However, if you play games on a big screen. The Optoma CinemaX will be the better option. The Anker Nebula Mars II is for those who want a portable projector or just want to enjoy backyard movies. That’s it for the best high-resolution projectors.
