Here Are The Best Headphones For Glasses

Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II

Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Noise-Cancelling, with Alexa voice control - Black

The Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II is unarguably the best noise-cancelling headphone for glasses wearers. Once you put them on everything goes silent. Not only that, the sound quality is excellent.

Keep in mind, these are not audiophile worthy but sound better than a lot of headphones. It can achieve this by optimising the sound you are listening too. You could say it’s an automatic EQ.

However, where the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II fails is the microphone. The microphone tends to muffle your voice and so it is not suited for calls and voice recording. It is also expensive and not a budget headphone.

What it gets right though it the comfort. The earpads are soft and large almost as if they are pillows. And there isn’t a lot of pressure applied to your ears to cause discomfort or irritation

This allows you to wear it for long periods. In short, not only is it notoriously comfortable, but it’s also a glasses friendly headphone.

The headphone is well-made and has a beautiful design. And for a wireless headphone, the battery life is astonishing. It can last for 20 hours. Plus, it charges relatively fast too.

Overall, the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II is a premium headphone hence its price. The noise cancelling is the best and the comfort is great. To sum it all up, it is one of the best wireless headphones for glasses wearers.

Pros

Superb Noise Cancelling & Sound Quality

Long Battery Life & Charges Fast

Comfortable & Lightweight

Can Connect To Multiple Devices

Cons

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro

beyerdynamic Dt 770 Pro 32 Ohm Studio Headphone

The first thing you will notice about the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro is how large they are. And their large size makes them great for glasses wearers and big heads.

Because it doesn’t apply a lot of pressure on the sides of your head. The ear cushions are also soft and large. Your ears also do not feel cramped. All thanks to the velour pads they are made out of. Your ears will remain cool at all times.

The build quality is above average. The headphone as a whole is built like a tank. As mentioned above, it is big, large and surprisingly lightweight. The headband is metal covered in leather and the caps are made from hard plastic. The headphone is sturdy and strong enough to take some beatings.

For the design, it’s a simple all-black design with the logo on each of the earcups. Unfortunately, the headphones are not foldable and are not quite portable.

Beyerdynamic headphones are known to sound great. And these are no exception. The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro is a closed-back headphone that has an amazing sound quality and Bass. It can reproduce sound very well and has great imaging along with soundstage.

Great imaging and soundstage are super helpful when playing FPS games. Because you can tell where the enemy is coming from. The sound quality borders on entry-level audiophile.

However, the headphones are not noise cancelling. The sound isolation is good enough but loud noise environments will get through the headphones.

Although the Beyerdynamics DT 770 Pro is not a perfect headphone. They are perfect if you wear glasses. Because of the large size and earpads make it comfortable.

Pros

Amazing Sound Quality & Good Sound Isolation

Outstanding Comfort

Cons

Not Quite Portable

No Noise Cancelling

Philips Fidelio X2HR

Philips X2HR Fidelio Over Ear Headphone, Black

The Philips Fidelio is full open-back headphones that sound great. They are noise cancelling neither does it isolate sound. Open-back headphones more often than not have the best sound quality. And the Philips is not an exception.

They sound amazing and you can perceive almost everything. Subtle sounds that you wouldn’t have normally heard on other headphones. And you will be able to make out the tiny differences. Plus, because of the open-back design, everything sounds natural and vivid.

One striking feature of the Philips Fidelio is the size. It is a large headphone and also light. Once worn you might think there is nothing on your head. It has the largest and thickest velour ear cushion. In short, this will cover more than your eyes.

Such cushions sizes are perfect for those who wear glasses. Because pressure is evenly distributed and not so much to cause any discomfort. In addition to that, they are breathable earpads ensuring your ears remains cool at all times.

Overall, not only does the Philips Fidelio X2HR sound great. It is also one of the most comfortable headphones for glasses wearers. Highly recommended if you want a great headphone to use with glasses.

Pros

Comfortable

Great Sounding Headphones

Premium Build Quality

Cons

COWIN SE7

COWIN SE7 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Headphones Over Ear with Microphone/Aptx, Comfortable Protein Earpads, 30 Hours Playtime for Travel/Work, Black

The COWIN SE7 is a glasses-friendly headphone. Plus, it is an affordable alternative to the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. They won’t be good as them but it will get the job done.

First of all, it is comfortable. The earpads are large and the headphones themselves do not weigh a lot. Furthermore, the earpads are soft, thick and made from nice materials giving a satisfying feel to it. Almost as if you have nothing on your ears.

Also, for an affordable headphone. The noise cancelling is impressive. Although, this can’t be compared to the high-end headphones. It can cancel up to 80 per cent of the noise produced in an environment.

But, the noise-cancelling comes with a caveat – it eliminates the bass. If you enjoy bass this might be a problem. Because the noise-cancelling has to be turned off to enjoy the bass. Still, at this price, the noise-cancelling is pretty good.

And aside from that, the sound quality is decent. It is crisp and clear. Overall, much richer and deeper than its more affordable cousins. And the volume is pretty high too. Sound quality-wise, the COWIN SE7 passes the test.

To sum it all up, the COWIN SE7 are decent noise-cancelling headphones for those who wear glasses. A solid budget alternative to the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II.

Pros

Very Comfortable & Lightweight

Great Active Noise Cancelling & Good Sound Quality

Portable & Long Lasting Battery Life

Cons

HyperX Cloud II

HyperX Cloud II - Gaming Headset, 7.1 Surround Sound, Memory Foam Ear Pads, Durable Aluminum Frame, Detachable Microphone, Works with PC, PS4, Xbox One - Gun Metal

HyperX Cloud II is a great pair of headphones for those who wear glasses. A lightweight, comfortable gaming headset that’s an easy fit. Moreover, the large and soft earpads are made from velour and are easily replaceable when it gets worn out.

When it comes to sound quality, the HyperX Cloud II sounds decent. It is not so good to be called great neither is it bad. It gets the job done by making sure the sound produced is crisp and clear. Plus, the soundstage is well-balanced enough to provide accurate imaging to pinpoint your enemies.

Also, the closed-back nature of the headphones cancel ambient noise and isolate sounds. These are not active noise cancelling though.

However, the USB cable with the sound card does an awful job. Better to connect straight to your console or device. Moreover, it doesn’t have any software which you can use to customize the sound profile. You have to download a third-party soft to do so.

HyperX Cloud II has top-notch build quality. The steel and plastic material provides a sturdy frame which is strong enough to withstand bumps. And the joints are reinforced quite well since those are the first to go in most headsets.

To sum it all up, the HyperX Cloud II is one of the best gaming headsets for glasses wearers. The ear cushions are soft and do a great job of applying small amounts of pressure on your ears.

Pros

Sounds Great

Very Comfortable & Can Wear For Extended Periods

Cross-Platform Support

Affordable

Cons

The OneOdio Fusion is a budget headphone that gets a lot of things right. First is the comfort. The earpads are soft and are large to cover your whole ears. Large earpads are typical of over-ear headphones.

Sound quality-wise. These are decent overall. Not as good as the higher-end models. But is decent enough to enjoy whatever you are listening to. The bass is rich and deep. To be honest, for the price they sound good.

CORSAIR Void Pro

CORSAIR VOID PRO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset - Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound Headphones for PC - Discord - 50mm Drivers - White (Renewed)

The CORSAIR Void Pro is a gaming headset that is glasses friendly. They are super comfortable and make sure your ears remain cool at all times. Which is great especially during long gaming sessions. However, it has a weak clamping force and shaking your head will cause it to fall off.

The great thing about it though is that there will be absolutely no pressure applied on ears. Combined with its soft and large earpads. You have one of the best gaming headsets to wear with glasses.

Another thing is that. This is not a Bluetooth headset. But rather makes use of a Bluetooth receiver to connect to your console or PC. At least, there won’t be Bluetooth latency issues with it.

When it comes to design, the CORSAIR Void Pro is beautiful. There are two available colours – Black and White. The white is the better looking out of the two. Because it is kind of a black and white mixture.

The logo on the earcups are RGB and can be customized. This further adds to the beauty of the headset. The build quality overall is decent thanks to the hard plastic.

The CORSAIR Void Pro offers a lot of value and gets a lot of things right (more than 70 per cent). A solid Bluetooth gaming headset with a mic for people with glasses.

Pros

Solid Build Quality & RGB Customization

Comfy & Lightweight

Affordable

Cons

How To Find A Headphone Or Headset To Use With Glasses.

Here are a few things to look out for when getting a headphone for glasses.

Earpads

Always go for headphones that have large and soft earpads. To be precise, over-ear headphones. They don’t apply so much pressure as on-ear headphones. Because the pressure is evenly distributed.

The very large ones don’t even touch your ears. Also, the thicker the earpads the better since they do a better job at distributing the pressure around your ear.

Clamping Force

Clamping force can be a major problem. The greater the clamping force the tighter the headphone and less chance of it falling off. Furthermore, it pushes against your glasses and head causing discomfort.

On the other end, the weaker the clamping force the easier it is for it to fall off your head. More so if you shake your head a lot. If you find out that the headphones come with a strong clamping force. Putting books between it for a few days will weaken it and reduce the pressure applied to your temples.

If possible go with a headphone or headset with a weak clamping force. This will be far more comfortable than one with a strong clamping force.

Final Thoughts

Glasses can be in the way when wearing a headphone. Unfortunately, most headphones don’t cater to people who wear glasses.

This annoys when you realise the headphone you bought is causing discomfort. However, you don’t have to go through this since we have listed the best headphones and headsets for glasses wearers.
